I searched but came up short :)

Anyway, would I notice a decemt performance increase if I upgraded my PC2100 to PC2700? I've got 768MB (Crucial and Micron OEM) and want to know if I should maybe switch to PC2700 or just buy another stick of 512MB PC2100...

If you are planning to run the extra 512MB of PC2100 to add to your 768MB it would make more sense to just buy 512MB of PC2700 and run it with your PC2100. Looks like you are running everything stock, but having PC2700 will give you the flexibility in the future if you decide to upgrade to a 333mhz CPU. For an extra $15 or so, you'll have 512MB of newer RAM instead of being saddled with 1280MB of older RAM.

I didn't know I could put a stick of PC2700 in there. But I guess it will just underclock itself. Thanks...

Yep, if you have any problems (if you are running an older BIOS, I'd recommend upgrading beforehand), put either the 2700 or the 2100 by itself, and manually set the timings. There are issues with some nForce2 boards if the BIOS sets memory clocks by SPD (serial presence detect) with some BIOS versions and dimm modules (including high-end Corsair XMS).

Go to Googlegear.com and look at their 512MB PC2700 Kingston, works like a charm.

EDIT: Besides of you only put in the PC2700 chip, it will speed up your DMA devices. It did on mine, so my CPU cant access it faster but my HDD and CDROM (which have DMA enabled) can. It rose my HDD performance in all benchmarks.

I guess I'll go with PC2700 then gradually weed out my PC2100. But then again, I might as well go higher to PC3200 and max it out. Going to cost me though... :)
