I have a Dell Dimension 4600 and I just upgraded my memory from 512MB PC2700/333Mhz to 1GB Kingston HyperX PC3200/400Mhz, but on my BIOS my memory speed still reads 333Mhz. Why is this?
I know my motherboard supports up to 400 Mhz RAM. My FSB is 533. I can't seem to adjust anything on my BIOS. Everything seems to be set automatically without being able to change it.

With your fsb at 533mhz, it will not run the ram at 400mhz, and since you have a dell, you aren't going to be able to change it.
