Memory Upgrade question

So my computer came with the standard 2x256MB of DDR2 400 mhz. I added 2x512MB stick of Corsair Value Select 533Mhz today. It was working fine for about an hour and then decided to BSOD. I reset and then it BSOD after about ten minutes. It never did this prior to the new memory. I pulled out the new ones and it seems stable again. Are the new memory and old memory compatible or do they need to be the same speeds or sizes? Ill be at my work computer all night 🙁 but I can answer any other questions from memory if I can, thanks.

Have you tried using nothing but the corsair memory? If it still BSODs with only the new RAM you may have picked up one or two bad sticks.

So I tried with only the new memory in and it BSOD on launch so I guess theres some incompatibility with my comp. Weird that it worked for an hour or so though. Oh well, Ill send it back to Monarch I guess.
