I don't know if this is the right forum but here goes. My friend has a Msi KT3 Ultra I think and he has only got 256mb DDR memory which is running at 333mhz-I think. He was wondering if he can get another 256mb DDR memory at 222mhz. Will they conflict?

P.S I dont know if the mhz on the memory is right.

As long as he gets DDR memory, it will work. However, if he gets slower ram than he currently has, the higher speed ram will operate at a slower speed, which he doesnt want..My advice would be to get the same type of memory as he currently has...pc2700 333mhz.

Hmmm...so if I were to put in a stick of 256 megs of pc2100 with 256 of pc2700, they would both run at 2100?
Which would be better do you think? Less RAM running faster, or more running slower?
