Memory timing...i'm confused...

I've a A8N-SLI (non-D) with Athlon64 3000+ using 4x512MB of Corsair VS DDR400 RAM. I'm using BIOS v1014..

In the BIOS, I've set to 266Mhz and Multiplier at 4X (this is not HTT since its found elsewhere). What does this means? When i set to higher or lower, system does not boot up...

Also i've no way to set to 1T, system crash....
