Hey all,, i was wondering.. i have 448 megs of ram.. that should take about.. 5-10 secs to count right?? but the thing is.. when i start up my comp.. my leadtek mx counts it 32megs.. and when it gets to the screen.. where you see the memory count up.. it never does.. now i am not sure if it is enabled.. but where can i do this..and if it is.. there is no possible way that my 448 megs of ram can count faster than my Video cards 32 megs.. not a big deal but would like to figue it out!!.. thanks a million guys!!

go to your BIOS and see if you have some kind of Speed Boot-Up option enabled, this would keep the BIOS from counting the memory. Why would you want it to count it anyway? Just go into your OS and see how much it detects, same thing, and it doens't increase boot up time.

Yeah, I would say your problem lies in the BIOS. Having your memory count up does ensure that it still works but your computer wouldn't even load if it was having problems.

jaredm.. i think you might be right.. if you 512 counts that fast.. mine probably does too.. because my Mx counts up pretty slow.. its not big deal, i was just curious about it... thanks for all of your replies!
