Memory Terms: Unbuffered and EEPROM

What do the terms "unbuffered" and "EEPROM" mean with regards to PC100 memory? THese are used in the Pricewatch listings often.

OK OK -- I guess I deserved that. I know what EEPROM is. I just dont understand what it means with SDRAM. For instance, if you buy a stick of 128MB PC100 SDRAM without EEPROM, what are the limitations. When I bought my first stick of memory last year, I didnt anything other than "regular noname 128MB PC100 CAS3 SDRAM" and it worked fine on my ABIT BF6. If I want to buy another stick, do I need EEPROM or unbuffered or does it matter. I know I dont need ECC. Thanx!
