Memory starts having errors after 4 years..

I built my computer myself around 4 years ago, and had a few problems here and there, but just a few days ago, it started to frequently BSOD..

I ran windows mem diagnostics, and set it to the highest level. It freezes at 7% with both sticks in.

I ran memtest86 and found a few errors, all at approx 2300MB location on one of the sticks. Testing the other stick ATM... will get back to this later.

I have CMX8GX3M2A1333C9 corsair memory (2x4GB, 1333mhz, 1.5v)
I've never OC my ram, though occasionally CPU.
MOBO: M4A89GTD PRO/USB3
CPU: 1090T AMD
GFX: GTX260

UPDATE: one stick good; one stick has a few errors
UPDATE2: there is only one bad bit, only shows up as error on test 8

Time to get new RAM, or ....

You could try to salvage the bad stick by increasing the voltage, decreasing the frequency, or increasing the various timings. But, yeah, most likely it's just time for new RAM. Unfortunately they can go bad over time.

RMA time. Get some of the same stuff to fill the wait time if you have to, then you have twice as much 😛

Check again. Many vendors have limited lifetime warranties. 4 years isn't that much, especially DDR3 is still the primary memory being sold.

Lifetime Limited based on Newegg's page. Check the labels on the sticks, and call Corsair/check out their website.

Corsair's website, Warranty = Lifetime. Just don't peel the labels off the sticks, automatic void 🙂

Dust off dims and sockets thoroughly, Sometimes dust can cause shorts.
Also as mentioned above up voltage in tiny steps but they may have just reached there runtime limit.
