I just built a new pc with a GIGABYTE GA-P35-DS3R INTEL P35 and a CORE 2 DUO E6750. But I'm using my old ram 667mhz memory from my old system for now. Is there a large speed difference if i spend the money to get 800mhz or 1066 mhz memory? *i got the board that does not support the DDR III memory*. Just curious what the downside is of using the slower memory. THanks! I know 800mhz memory is relatively cheap now..but didn't want to waste the money for a 2% speed boost.

I don't know the specifics for definite, but it would definitely depend on what you use the system for -
If it is for surfing/watching dvd's, then it might help things load up 5% quicker (would you notice that?), but if you are editing video, you might save a few seconds here and there.

I very much doubt that there would be a massive decrease in speed on most apps.

Primary purpose will be for gaming was thinkign spending the extra money on a card..going for the 640mb card over the 320 mb card would give me more of a boost then getting fasting system memory..

No...it wouldn't help as your CPU is running slower than the bus speed the ram is rated at. RAM will only run as fast as is required.
