Memory speed confusion

Hi everyone! First post here!😀

As my sig says, I have an X2 3600(brisbane) and 2 gigs of transcend ddr2 667 on a Jetway 690g mobo. The trouble is, when I OC my cpu to 2.4 (using 252 Mhz HTT and RAM at ddr533 speed), CPU-Z shows RAM speed as 342 Mhz whereas Sandra shows it to be 299 Mhz. I've read that the odd cpu Multiplier (9.5 x) might be responsible for this. Can someone please describe the correct way to find out the memory speed.

Thanks!

Anyone else with a better answer?

ROFL.

CPU-Z is probably showing the more accurate RAM speed. Perhaps change your HTT/memory ratio to something else to run the RAM faster?
