Memory Speed Comparison

I'm thinking about upgrading my computer to 2GB of ram, I already have 2 sticks of 512MB Corsair XMS 3200 ram. I have an Athlon 64 3200+ and my mobo supports 3 sticks of ram. The question is, when I use three sticks of double sided ram my motherboard throttles the ram down to 2700 speeds. Will I notice a difference from my PC3200 with 2-2-2-5 timings, when I get a 1GB stick of ram making it PC2700 with 3-3-3-8 timings?

you only have 3 slots so I assume you're not even getting dual channel. If this is the case you are already killing your performance so making it worse probably won't bother you.
