memory settings

with all the settings in the bios, is there 1 that can really make a difference playing games?
im running 2 gb's of muskin 6400
 
I'm going to say no. Unless you can tell the difference between 85 and 83FPS, if there would be that much of a difference at all.

Is this true even if your board does not recognize your RAM's stated timings and you never corrected?

Yes that is true for your problem too. Actually, ram speed and timings are the last thing to influence gaming performance. The only thing about ram that counts in pc gaming is quantity.
