Hello,
I am currently in the process of building a new computer. I am on a budget so I don't really want to spend to much. Right now I have a FIC AU13 motherboard(nforce2), ATI Radeon 9800 pro, Athlon XP 3000 (333 FSB), Thermaltake Volcano 10 HSF, and I am trying to find out what memory to use. I don't overclock but I have thought about possibly buying a Mobile Athlon XP 2200+(35W) and overclocking it. The three sets of RAM that I was looking at are
Kingston Hyperx Dual Channel PC2700 (2-2-2-5-1), Corsair Twinx Dual Channel PC3200 (2-3-3-6-1), and Mushkin Blue Dual Channel PC3200 (2-3-3). Right now I am leaning towards the Mushkin Blue because it is at the same timings as the Corsair, costs less, and Corsair talks on their website about using CL2.5 and more moderate timings when their ram is used with AMD processors. Also if I didn't overclock anything would PC2700 with more aggressive timings be faster than PC3200 with moderate timings. Thanks in advance for any help.
Mike
