Memory question

Oyeve

Lifer
I know Crucial is owned by Micron. I hear that crucial is kick but memory, but, can I assume that Micron labeled memory is also kick butt? All my mem in all my systems are Micron ECC cas3 or cas2. Can I assume I have really good memory?

I'm sure you have good memory!
btw, why are you using ECC memory, are you a server?

It uses the same chips made by Micron, but probably assembled by another company. (PCB not made by Micron) When you buy from Crucial, you know the whole thing has been made by Micron. Anyways, it's probably just as good...

I am not a server! I am a man! Sorry, couldn't resist. I have a few servers at home as well as a few game stations. I just have a surplus of server memory from work that I use at home. Its all Micron ECC. For the game stations I generally turn off the ECC option in the bios, for the servers, it stays on.
