Memory Question

I'm updating the CPU, Mobo, and adding 512mb more ram to my current computer. My memory I currently have is a stick of 512mb Corsair XMS PC3200. My question is this: Would I be able to add a stick of 512mb memory that's not Corsair XMS without any adverse reactions, say the Value Select Corsair PC3200 memory? I don't plan to do any overclocking at all so I don't see a need to go with the higher priced memory.

Btw, the mobo I intend to buy is the Chaintech nforce3 250. Haven't quite decided on the CPU yet, thinking in the range of 3200-3400. Thanks!

If you go with the CVS memory it will be "wasting" the good memory because the XMS runs at tighter timings. For example if you have CL2 and CL3 memory it will revert to the timings of the slower memory.
