Memory Question

I just bought a stick of 512mb ddr 2100 ram for my comp. I had a 256ddr stick in there b4. I was wondering if i could put both of them in together or do i have to have them the same size eg 512mb and a 512 mb inorder to use them together? I have msi mobo k7v masters. thanks

Yes, you can put them both in together and get the sum 768 MB
