Memory question with DDR3?

I have a question about adding 6mb memory. I had OCZ 1600 8-8-8-24 and got 6mb Corsair Dom 7-8-7-7-20 and was just going to run the Doms at the rated speed. Question is would running 12mb at a lower speed give me any benefits or should I just stick with the Corsair and sell the other OCZ sticks? Also I am running Win 7 64. Also not sure my MB below will run 12mb 1600 speeds.

Mixing memory like this can be hit or miss. If you add the Corsair and the system is not stable, you may need to add a bit of memory controller voltage to compensate for the added load of 6 modules. 1.25v - 1.35v should do it.

Both sets are 1.65v? So I am at 1.64v already on this 1366 setup. You thinking I had 1156?

Edit
I see you said memory controller, QPI is at 1.4v already

You would not get benefit out of your ram till you use applications thats able to make uses of a lot of core and can eat up 5gb of ram or more. There is currently bout 1 or 2 that can do that. Adobe CS5. For gaming NO no difference
