memory question 256 chip in a older Motherboard

Hey all,

I just purchased some crucial 256MB 133 memory in preperation for my upgrade. I was curious what would happen if I put this chip in my TMC t15vg+ board. The documentation says only 128 memory chips fit....however would it at least register 128 of the 256? Or would it fry the memory?
