Memory Problems

I just bought more memory for my pc but it is not working properly. I got the right kind of memory, does anyone know issues with having memory from two different companies?😕
 
Using tow different companies memory will not matter...
Try the new memory stick by itself to make sure its not DOA..
 
Well, it works by itself so I know it isn't the memory stick....but when I install both sticks together....it freezes at the dos start screen where it shows how much memory there is....and it is the right amount....but then it does not go to the other drives through the boot process. anyone help me?
