Memory problems with ME?

We have a Microsoft Access application that a number of clients use without problems. Most of them run NT or 98. Recently one client hosed his machine and replaced it with one running ME. Now he is constantly getting "out of memory" messages when he runs our application. Any idea what might be causing this?
