Confused.

I ran my computer through PC pit stop and it told me that Windows recognized my 256meg of ram. The Bios only recognized
128meg ram.It suggested I manually set the bios.I checked the bios setting and it was showing 256meg.
Is there anything wrong ? Is there a setting that requires checking? Did Pitstop make a mistake?

Asus A7V, KT 133, 750 T bird.256meg ram.

I haven't found any of those "tool kit" programs to be accurate or correct. Many have bugs with regard to any ARM in excess of 128 MB. Norton System Works 2001 had such a bad bug in its RAM checker, it removed the feature from 2002 as an easier fix than solving it.

If your BIOS sees the RAM, it will show first thing during POST. Then to verify if Windows sees it, run MSINFO32.EXE, and look under System Summary. It will all be there.

Sounds like "Pit Stop" is chupando el grande! 🙂
