Overlooking your initial post again,I think your problem probably lies within the modules themselves.
If I understand correctly,you have a 1GB module and a 512 Kb module,both are PC 3200 spec?
Most likely their timings are different and what's happening is that your MB detection is defaulting to the next best impementable specification to run them both.
Have you tried running each of them seperately? What did that result in?
If they are running up to spec. seperately, then that's the problem. You might be able to get them both to run @ PC 3200 spec if you relax the timings(you'll have to fiddle around with those-trial&error & time consuming)Also try contacting customer service of your memory maker and inquire how to go about it.
In general your MB will default to the lower of the memory module specs the case of mis-compatibility.
In addition to the above info, your overclocking isn't helping either.Overclocking the FSB = running the memory out of it's intended spec's.Hence you'd need a paired memory module set or dual channel kit even to accomplish successful overclocking.
Also I don't believe 1.5 Gb of RAM really has any appreciable performance increase over 1GB.Personally I'd settle for 1GB of reliable spec. memory and being able to overclock without the fuss over more capacity and a buncha fuss and doubtful potential performance increase to beging with.
