Ok gang, just got my new dual AthlonXP 1600 system up and running. Using a Tyan TigerMp (Phoenix ServerBIOS) I was able to go through and do all the necessary stuff needed to install WindowsXP, drivers, etc.
Ok, I decide to install the new Nvidia Detonator XP drivers (I have a Geforce3 Ti 500 from PNY). After rebooting and going into the display properties menu, the display switches to this blue screen (not the screen of death, but close enough) that says that I have a hardware malfunction. Here's what it reads:
***Hardware Malfunction
Call your hardware vendor for support
NMI: Parity Check/Memory Parity Error
***The system has halted***
This is really scary! After I reboot the machine, it refuses to POST! I'm freaked out now. So after a few unsuccessful reboots, I decide (for reasons unknown) to remove the RAM (512mb unregistered DDR) and start the machine up. Of course, I get the "Hey, there's no memory in here!" post code. After that, I put the memory back in, turn the machine on, and everythign works fine.
Until I go into the display settings...
AUUGGHHHH!!!!!!
What can I do?? My new Uuber-machine isnt working!! Have any of you other Tyan owners had this problem?
