First off, I would just look in the book for the mobo to get my answer, but it's my dad's computer so I don't have the book. 2nd. I would look online. but hey, I'm online and I'm asking you. 🙂 do I need a special type of memory to upgrade my dad's exisint 128meg pc-133 ram? I mean does it haev to be another identical 128 meg stick? or can I pick up a crucial 256 meg stick and just stick it in there beside it? it's not overclocked. he doesnt' like that..... : (

thanks in advance!

Covering both bases....

As indicated in the other thread... you can't mix and match. The sticks should be identical. 🙂

I've never used that particular mobo but I've ran mixed ram in several of my old BX & LX mobo's without any problems.

i've mixed and matched ram on my abit bh6 and it works great..... I think I will just get him a 256 meg stick...... and then if they dont' like each other, keep the 128 and give him the 256 🙂

crucial's memory are usually pretty damn good, so mixing it shouldn't be a problem (assuming you are not overclocking it). Make sure you get the CAS2 just in case your current stuff is CAS2.

Either way, it's always a gamble. but with crucial, you can just return it 🙂
