MEMORY NOT SHOWING CORRECTLY ON BOOT

Whenver i start up my computer the amount of ram that shows is 8.0 MB?! But, inside windows and via the BIOS it shows the correct 512 MB of ram i have. Anyone have any ideas on what might cause this. I figured there was a problem under the BOOT.INI field under maxram but that field was empty. So that seemed correct. Everything seems to work ok but whenever i start up it shows this odd 8.0 MB ram on start-up. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Nope, you're fine. Some video cards like my old v770 ultra would post it's firmware/bios at the very beginning. If this is your case as well, you're fine and also windows properly acknowledges the correct amount.
