Alright, so I just recently managed to get one of the CWS variants (cws.searchx I think) removed from my system using CWShredder. IE has been returned to normal.
But now, it seems I have a memory leak in explorer.exe. When I boot to the WinXP desktop, PF Usage (mem usage) is at 250MB - it usually is around 110 to 118MB. Explorer in particular is taking up 50MB. It normally should only take up around 10MB. what happened, any ideas?
