I have some older memory modules I pulled from a Micron PC, and I'm having trouble trying to indentify what type of memory it is and the memory size on each stick. The CPU on the board is a Pentium 166mhz, not sure on the board.....

Is there a way to determine this info by looking at the modules themselves? Just curious.... thanks

if you still have access to a working machine that you can put them into. Try CPU-Z.

Or i guess you could try looking up the serial numbers on either the memory chip on the PCB board or on the individual chips. GOOGLE!

Hope that helps.

Just judging by the fact that they came out of a P166, they're almost certainly 16MB or 32MB 72pin EDO SIMMs.

Nope, I wouldn't be requesting info if there were. =) thanks though...My local computer shoip pays $$ good for these old SIMM's if they are in working order.
($15 - 16mb $25 - 32mb)

Go to the RAM Section of this site. There should a few links to various sites that can either decipher the markings or enable you to ID the chips in one way or another.
