Im building a PC and bought a MSI K8T Neo-FIS2R motherboard and i am looking for 1gb or 2x512mb pc3200 ddr400 memory for it. I checked MSI's memory vendor list and it lists about 10 vendors for 512mb. I was wondering if anyone has tried Kingston, Crucial, Corsair, Hynix, or OCZ memory with this board or should i just go with whats on the vendor list?

Most of the PC3200 works for that mobo. Many people use PC3500 or higher as well. I suggest that you get the new Corsair XL memory which is probably the fastest non-overclocked memory out there. Pretty sure it will work on ur mobo.

OCZ PC3700 Gold, Rev. 2 is some awesome memory, and someone in the overclocking forum is using it with that same motherboard.

Thanks, good to hear this MB runs good with those brands and types. I guess long as its ddr400 it should be ok. Think i will try the OCZ.

Please post the memory (512 ones) u have on this board, as i currently use some cheap elixir 3200 sticks. I want to change it to some good ones with better CAS latency.

I don;t have that board, I have the ASUS K8V, but the older CAS2 Kingston Hyperx PC3500 works great, and Mushkin level 1 PC3500. I tried OCZ PC4200 EL, and it wouldn;t go over 200 HTT, and then only at cas 3-8-8-16 ! (horrible) It was a noticable pig at that.

I used Corsair 3200LLpro on 2 systems, and Geil 3200 cheapo on the 3rd, because I di not have anything else to use at the time. I benched it stock with the corsair, and geil, and found no difference, But I do not overclock much. I usually stick with the corsiar to be on the safe side....

I have used that motherboard with our memory and it preformed very well. Would not have any reservations about recommending Crucial.
