Hi all. Will memory for PC work on a Mac G5? All the specs match but was wondering if theres any difference between Mac and PC ram.
Thanks!!

I had an iMac DV 450 a long time ago and I took some ram out of my PC and added it to it so I would think it would work just fine.

Generally it will work, but some obscure brands that use really wierd timings won't. Do what Kensai said.

I bought some generic PC 133 for my Mac, and it worked. I still wouldn't recommend doing that though.

I also agree with Kensai.

Mac RAM = PC RAM. Most will work. But if you want maximum compatibility, buy it from Crucial.com and use their memory selector.
