Memory Foam mattresses - need help!

I'm in the market for a queen sized mattress - and I'd really like to go with a memory foam mattress.

I looked at some tempurpedic mattresses, and they are very nice. I'm specifically looking at the Celebrity model, which has the pillow top.

My neighbors brought home a brochure from Dormia - which offers a similar latex foam mattress. I saw some posts on epinions and I'm kind of afraid of them after reading about the smell of the mattress and the poor customer service.

I've also done some googling, and came across angelbeds.com, which has their own memory foam mattress as well.

It's very hard to compare the manufacturers against each other ... for example, the dormia doesn't seem to list the density of the latex foam.

The tempurpedic mattresses are much more expensive than those from Dormia and AngelBeds. Is there a difference in the quality, or is it really just the tempurpedic name?

Does anyone have any experience choosing a latex foam mattress? I could really use the help! If you can point me to some resources, I'd appreciate it!

Thanks,

-Matt

I have a tempur Rapsody. It has a HD foam top layer. That particular model is the only type of foam mattress I could stand to sleep on. As aways everyone is different.

i just bought the Novafoam queen from Costco, but I haven't set it up yet. amazing price and they get good reviews... we decided not to spring for the more expensive model with the cool-foam layer, since we can always take this one back if its too hot and we don't like it. costco's return policy made it a no-brainer.

I have a king size tempurpedic thats a step above the Celebrity model thats available only at Brookstone.

My wife and I are both very happy with it, myself especially since I was in an auto accident last year and this has helped me sleep much better.

Of course it's expensive though, but we both feel it's worth the money in the end.

lokiju - what's the difference between the Brookstone Celebrity and the regular celebrity?

Thanks everyone!
