I don't know how these comments went by in a sex-related thread without anyone noticing... ;)

I wish we had a memory foam matress, but i would think with one, intercourse would be more work.

Think about it: with a regular matress, you get that extra "bounce" with the springs, so a foam would not bounce back and thus, sex would be more strenuous.

But thats a good thing. More of a work out. and I could think of a few postions where that "bounce" isn't needed... ;)

I like to use footboard of our bed for leverage. :p

I think it depends on the position. If its one of those foam mattresses that she can sink in like 8 inches, she might disappear by the time you're half way through your love session. But personally, you know you've had a work out when someone got a rug burn :D

NO mattress noise was the only difference I noticed. I have a firm one, I don't know how people can sleep on the ones you sink more than 6in into...

i have a latex mattress and i love it because it makes NO SOUNDS. pretty crucial when you have 3 kids like my wife and i do. ;)

Won't latex build up a static charge, especially in the cold dry air of winter?

/me not wanting to be on the other end of THAT discharge

it's been 6 yrs since i bought my latex mattress, not even 1 single static discharge.

OK, aside from the sex part, how are the memory foam mattress toppers? I can't stand the current mattress and topper we have, and I've been thinking of picking up a memory foam one. Are they really comfortable? Any particular one anyone can recommend?

I'm talking about just the toppers, not the entire mattress

How thick is it? I found a good place to buy one, but I can't decide between the 2" or the 3". Apparently you sink further in with the 3" topper, so it might be a little less supportive.

We got the 3", and it got rid of any aches and pains I had from sleeping on our old crap mattress.
