I just got my 5lb density 3" memory foam mattress/topper. I let it expand for 24hrs.

yesterday nite was the 1st time i slept on it.
After a little while, i began to sink a little into the memory foam (as expected).

i also have a memory foam pillow but I began to notice that my neck/head was higher since my body sank. i figured it'll adjust.

woke up this morning with slight neck pain.

For those with memory foam mattresses/toppers, do you sleep with a pillow?

if so, how long does it take the body to adjust to the new neck height?

.

I have a firm foam mattress from Sealy. It does not let me sink. I use a pillow like normal.

I use pillows with a topper, but I almost think I would be better without, I historically prefer very thing/low stuffing pillows, so the memory pillows I've tried feel huge

I use a pillow. Feather pillows are sort of adjustable, you can make them thinner or thicker to some degree.

I just got a 4" Sealy topper a week ago. I still use my pillow, which is a memory foam model.

Get a soft low density memory foam pillow. My body sinks with my head.
