Here's the problem. Whenever I restart my computer I get this error svchost.exe application error-"The instruction at "0x007c8065" referenced memory at "0x007c8065". The memory could not be written.

If I press Ok or Debug it makes my computer load up super slow, if I just x out of it and sign in like usual I can use my computer but with no sound. I went into my sound options and it still says I have my speakers and my headset plugged in (in the hardware tab) but all other sound options are greyed out.

Sometimes if I just repeadity restart my computer the error won't pop up or if I unplug all devices from my computer except for the moniter it sometimes won't have that error either.

I try to restart my computer as rarely as I can, but it's still annoying when it happens. Any ideas?

I'm running an AMD 4000+ Processor, windows XP, Logitech 5.1 surround sound speakers, 2 gigs of Corsair ram and 350 gigs of harddrive space.

Edit: And when I go into my speaker configuration menu thingy I have an option to do a 3D Audio Demo. That demo will play from the speakers, but nothing else will.

It's onboard sound.

I'm not 100% sure on my mobo because I don't want to restart (finally restarted enough times to get the error to not happen) and see what model it is and I can't really see inside the computer. But I did go to the ASUS website and I know the mobo isa A8NSLI. The website says it's a Socket939. I don't know if just a plain A8NSLI or a Deluxe model though. I have the newest drivers downloaded but I'm a little afraid to install them since I'm not completly sure if they are the correct ones.

Verify your MB model next time you shutdown and then get the correct Chipset Drivers for it.

From the Chipset package, don't install the Firewall or the IDE Driver portions - they just cause problems.

You may even need to download the Audio drivers for your MB to really get it working correctly.
