Memory configuration for Tyan S2266?

Hi all. I have the Tyan 510 S2266 motherboard and I'm a little confused as to how to put in the RAM. The manual says that the RAM MUST be put in a certain way depending on how many sticks you have. The motherboard shows DIMM1, DIMM2, DIMM3, DIMM4, with DIMM1 closest to the processor. However, the manual shows DIMM4, DIMM3, DIMM2, DIMM1, with DIMM4 closest to the processor. Does anyone who has this board know which way it actually is?

While we're on this subject, I have no idea where the power LED cord from the case plugs into. It takes up 3 pins but the manual only sets aside 2 for the power LED. Any thoughts?
