Im' attempting to do a small upgrade on a friends old Packard Bell. It is a 233mmx Pentium.
Integrated video and sound. 2 DIMM Memory slots.
At boot, this is on the first screen....
Packard Bell Bios x 1.14r
10/15/97 - i 430 vx - SMC 37C93 - 2A59GB3JC - 00
34297-OEM-0028301-67640
I'm unable to determine what memory this mb is capable of using. A i430vx chipset for sure, but I cannot find any info regarding memory.
Any help pointing me in the right direction is much appreciated.
From the Shuttle site...
<< HOT-555A: 2 sockets for 168-Pin DIMM Modules in sizes of 8, 16, 32 MBtotal size is 32 MB FPM, EDO or SDRAM in each DIMM/SIMM slot
Note: 32MB modules must be double-sided (with 16 memory-chips) >>
Would this info hold true of all i430vx chipsets?
