Memory Choice for OCing e6600

Hi everyone, im a stranger cause i just joined today...

Im getting a new pc sometime soon and im wondering what memory i should get. like 100USD/GB. Im considering the

Mushkin eXtreme Preformance 2GB (1GBx2) DDR2-667 (HP2-5300? PC2-5300, right?)

or the
OCZ Technology 2GB PC2-6400 DDR DIMM Memory Kit

ANY recommendation of other momory stix would help too.

Thx

I know I am looking at getting two of the eXtreme performance 1GB XP2-6400 modules with 4-4-3-10 latency and 1.9-2.1V. I guess I would recommend getting at least 6400/DDR2-800 modules to go with Conroe as the i965 chipset officially supports it and the 975X will also run at those speeds.

OCZ is having alot of compatability issues with some of the more popular motherboards. I'd stick to Corsair personally for the time being. They seem to be more reliable out of the box without much toying around.

Its really going to depend on the mobo more than the chip I'd say but alot of folks are using GSkill & Corsair 6400/DDR2-800 sticks. Lot of folks are having issues with OCZ RAM on these newer mobos. Which mobo are you planning to use?

Lot of P5W DH users are using the GSkill and Corsair 6400 modules with good results. I ordered the corsair 6400C4 for my mobo. Its suppose to arrive tomorrow. The GSkill RAM is cheaper in price than Corsair. I chose Corsair because it seems to be the most popular with this mobo (I really dont want to deal with RAM incompatibility issues) and the fact I have never used GSkill before.
