Get a Sandisk, they are the makers of all memory cards out there, the other companies just license the rights from them.

I wouldnt bother with their xtreme cards though

That device looks very big. It's also makes your PSP alot heavier and bulkier. Oh, well, I hope it's worth while.

I have a 256mb to sell (whoops wrong forum) by Sandisk if anyone wants it, for $40 shipped. Its been used lightly and is as good as new - in fact this one is in Mint cond as it goes. I got a 1gig now from Sony.

Also, if anyone wants the 32mb that it came with, just offer me something good for trade. Although its smaller, 32mb is great for game saves.

Sandisk's version of the Pro Duo have been benchmarked to be much, much faster than Sony's own Pro Duo sticks. Not only that, they are typically cheaper. Your choice should be fairly easy :).

Actually, sometimes the choice is not so easy. I have had problems with Sandisk that were made in China. Not to say that Sony is not made in China, but a few RARE Sandisk from China can go bad on you over time. I had a CF, SD, that went unrecoverable and unformatable.

Anyone else had this problem b4?

I thought sony owned the "Memory Stick" type of memory.

Uh, NO. All other companies get licenses from Sony to make Memory Sticks, and AFAIK, you don't need to pay any licensing fees to manufacture SD cards.
