I'm getting an e6400 and P5b.
I'm only interested in some mild overclocking (air).

What's my best choice for 667 memory for about $100 for a 1GB stick? The reason I'm only getting one and I can only spend $100 is because it's a gift from a relative so I'm sort of limited. Another relative will probably buy the other stick. Pain in the butt, I know.

Thanks.

i suggest getting the ocz platnium 1gb ddr2 pack. I got mine for 130 including tax. You should be able to find it cheaper if you look around a bit. Its a great memory for the money but i do wish for some faster memory timings.

Be very careful about not buying your memory at the same time. If you don't EXACTLY match revisions and ICs you could have instability or other issues. Would it hurt this relatives feelings to give you a gift card or gift certificate?
