well we all know crucial raised there prices last nite and newegg is selling out fast before they raise prices in the morning and the normal link to get at the memory isn't working-hhmm--so try this link

link

I would never buy from OCZ.
I bought Athlon 750@900 before and it turned it it was 650@750
They wouldn't answer any of my email

the OCZ memory i have used has been very high quality and I don;t hesitate buying more in the future.

if you dont get a chance to buy crucial ram from newegg or dont want too, you can use the link from this thread for the new 15% off coupon from crucial's site expecially for ziff davis readers.

New 15% off Link for Crucial.com

for example newegg sells 256 pc2100 ddr ram for 82 + 6 shipping, with this new 15% coupon u can buy the same ram from crucial for 90.94 + free 2nd day delivery.

edit: made it a linky...

ocz took 8 weeks to send me $4000 they owed me. apparently they treat their suppliers like crap, i'd never buy from them

some decent prices (still now as low as id like) but thanx for the post
69 dollars was the cheapest for 256 and that was from LEGACY ELECTRONICS, INC. never had any of their stuff, are they ok?

Man, memory prices have skyrocketed in the last few months. I bought 2 sticks of 256 pc 133, cl 2 for $30 bucks a piece a few months ago, and now they are around $100 bucks a piece.

well if we all stop buying ram for 2 months maybe the AT effect will kick in and manufacturers will lower prices 😀

anyone with me?!? ::looks around for anyone who agrees, then sadly puts head down:: 😱
i guess not....

how is the pricing of the Samsung memory? (the PC2700, otherwise what's a good company for DDR333 ram?) are they reliable?

<< Kingmax TinyBGA 256MB PC2700 DDR has actually gone down at CrazyPC.com. It's $88.95 now, I paid $93.95 last weekend. >>

There are still some decent deals (if this can be called decent), but nothing like 4-6 months ago. I was thinking a few weeks ago that memory prices had stopped climbing. Surely, it's past the point where manufacturers are making money. I think crucial is trying to raise prices in an attempt to drive everyone elses prices up. Crucial may have so much market share now, if they raise there prices, others will follow because there aren't many big players left to undercut prices. Let's hope demand doesn't stay high or increase even further. If it does, this could get even uglier.

one thing to say, these ram prices are not fitting me, and im not intending to buy any ram at these prices!
i want the good old days back!

I pay by money order at newegg-better to order and cancel the order later than to wait. I think a couple memory companies went bankrupt since it was like $30 a stick for crucial 256mb ddr

Can anyone explain why mem prices are so high? Proc with so much r&d, millions of trans and overheads are cheaper than mem.

Thanks,
Vicky
