Hello,

this is my first post here; i'm french, so plz don't blame me too much for language:p

My problem is as follows:

Bought an asus A8N sli deluxe yesterday with a geforce 6800GT.

The motherboard works fine, but i got a big problem concerning memory:

I got 2x512 ddr400(pc 3200) modules(one infineon, the other is noname) and it is supposed to work at 400mhz (correct me if i'm wrong:p).

But, i can't find a way to reach this speed: i installed the two as mentioned in the manuel (A1 and B1 slots) to benefit from dual channel.

i'm stuck to 333mhz, (checked with aida 32 and sandra).I updated the bios to 1.6, set multiplier to 5,tried to set manually to 400mhz..but nothing is working: ntune keeps reporting 333 mhz.

I don't understand why it doesn't work, everything was fine with my previous motherboard (abit AV8), i could choose between 333 mhz or 400Mhz.

(btw, i did not overclock anything).

Could someone help me fixing this?
What is the overall performance decrease between 333mhz and 400mhz?

Thanks for your answers!

I think it your noname memory that might be causing it to run at 333. have you tried adjusting the bios setting to 200mhz?
