Memory and overclocking

I know I have seen this a few times but I just HAVE to ask:
I am contemplating buying some PC3200 CAS 3 512mb Samsung ram for a good price. *sigh* I am building a system for a friend, and a budget is in mind. I will be overclocking one of the amd 2600 mobiles. Assuming I am going to keep the FSB at 200, will I feel a big difference between this ram and say: link. The price is significant enough to warrant the question. I can essentially buy two of the samsungs for nearly the same price as one of the OCZ. Most of the types of things will be done is gaming and a bit of dvd building (90/10 split between the two). In the real world, will much of a difference be felt?

You said you were building a system on a budget? I'd go with the Samsung for sure. The benchmarks will show a difference, but it won't translate into much of a difference in real world applications. Take the money you'll save and either buy another 512MB of ram, or invest it in a better video card.

I agree with zodder. If you're on a tight budget go with what you can afford. Samsung DDR is still very good DRAM so go for it and save for that nifty Geforce 6800 Ultra or Radeon X800 XT!🙂
