I am having a hard time choosing between Corsair Value Select 256MB, Kingston Value RAM 256MB and Mushkin Basic Green 256MB.

Also, with the crazy memory prices these days, is it ok to get 2 separate 256MB RAM from the same company with the same specs as opposed to getting RAM that is packaged to be used in dual-channel?

I'm pleased with my buffalo tech pc3200 ram. It's at 200fsb with 2-3-3-7 timings. I believe it's actually cheaper than the ram choices you listed. Some people say the buffalo CH-5 chips are good for oc'ing but I've never really gone above 200fsb so I can't help you there.
