Just came back from OD they have Memorex DVD+R drive for $119 on clearance.
Used $20 off $100 Coupon to get that baby down to $99 add tax to your total.

Stock maybe limited in your area.

Sku is 675312

Update: Price dropped to $79 use a $20 off coupon to get it down to $59.

Good hunting this drive will be hard to find.:)

If your all willing to wait July 18 thats when it goes to $79. This is the 2.4x/2.4x/8x DVD+RW. The sku is 675312. Online may have it for $199 but just call them and ask. I don't know if you can do this but staples has it Staples for $299. I don't know if you can PM and still get a better deal.

It sure would I think if any are still available PM to staples since theirs is $299 use some coupon then PM to the July 18 of $79 and you should get a rock bottom price on the burner. I can't wait. I know of one store that still has 4 in so I'm going to grab them all. Lets hope it stays there within these 3 weeks.

Read the forum rules. This is taboo here.

Is it? I know it's against the rules to post coupons, but is it against the rules to post where to get coupons?

Can you not do the research yourself?

Google is your friend :)

Its against the rule to even ask where to get coupon. Time that people learn.

I found the coupon code (and read the rules), so sorry for the last post.

I do have another dumb question however. If an item is not available online, will the retail store honor the coupon codes? I would like to get the $20 off $100 deal, but I went online and entered both Sku 34707703251 and Sku 675312, and only the latter showed up but as a discontinued item that was no longer available.

Any help would be appreciated.

The item is discountinued thats why its a YMMV. Stores may or may not have it. Out of the 3 OD around me only 2 had them in stock. Stores don't honor coupon codes that are for online. You could order it on the phone if you want to make it easier.

I just went back to officedepot.com and after clearing my cookies, realized that I am prompted for my Zip code before it tells me the item is unavailable. I thought at first that it was not available at all for purchase online, but see now that they are checking my region for stock avalability. Makes more sense now.

Thanks for all the help.

Could you check if your local OD have them in stock on the website or do you have to call?

Actually, most of the DVD+R drives are made by one of these 3 companies: NEC, Ricoh and Sony. Since the Sony ones are already pretty expensive, the big brands use the OEM versions of NEC and Ricoh and then rebadge and/or repackage them and sell them under their own name and model number.

Somebody mentioned earlier that these seem like the Ricoh ones. I recently bought the CenDyne drive, which was an NEC ND-1100A drive just inside their box - I later found out that this was the same drive being sold by brands like HP and TDK.

ricoh made a lot of the 2.4x drives. nec makes almost all the 4x drives.

ricoh made the sony dru110 and 120, the mitsumi, the hp 100i and 200i, the asus drive, and so on.

nec makes basically every 4x + drive out there. sony drives are made by liteon and are combo drives. nec also makes some combo drives now 1300a
