I also doubt that two rebates will go through, but tried it anyway with a $20 off coupon. Order went through, credit card charged a little over $31. The other $20 rebate is pending.
What do you guys suggest to bring the total cost of the purchase over $50? I picked a pen (Roller Pens, .4mm Fine Point, Red Ink, BICRM11RD) for $0.74.

You guys are paranoid, "Cash Register Coupons" and rebates are not the same thing. The "not valid with other offers" means other rebate offers.

Can you find a single person who was actually denied a rebate because of this?

Tons of people have done this with Staples on Microsoft Encara, Home Publisher, Canon BJ2000 printer, and other deals for $50 products with their own rebate.

As far as sales Tax... Staples actually delivers the item from your local store (if you have one, ... mine is 40 miles away and they do) to do the 1-day delivery. I got mine in 1 day from a Staples delivery person. The credit card receipt is actually from the local store. Still an awesome deal.

we are not allowed to post the staples coupons codes here at Anand's. But you might be able to find them at techarbargins.com. They post alot of good deals and coupons that are aviabable.

I ordered this earlier this week. I used the 20 off 50 coupon and got it for $30 and change...

Am I suppose to also get a $20 rebate with it? That would be sweet...

Actual Staples/OfficeMax do their own deal so you can process rebates through them, at least on a lot of items.

mrVW - Thanks, you da man! I was worried because yesterday and previously there was a link directly to the rebate form underneath the SPECIAL OFFER picture but today it disappeared. Well I finally ordered the Memorex 48x CD-ROM drive today and added 15 Memorex CD-Rs ($21.99) which brought me over $70 used the $20 off $50 and received free shipping.

The rebate requires an original receipt but since we ordered online which receipt should we turn in? The paper they gave me when they delivered the cdrom stated July 25 but I order it on July 21. What should I turn in. Any ideas.

I am going to send a copy of the order confirmation email and the slip that was inside the Staples Box the drive was delivered with. Hope that is enough for Staples. Any other suggestions?

Yeah had the same problem as you guys. I purchased 12:35am saturday the 22nd, but my receipt the date states the 24th. After calling Staples and talking with a CSR that didn't know what the crap she was talking about, I was transfered to a knowledgeable CSR who told me to send in the packing slip. It has the order number on the top left-hand side. The CSR told me that the order number tells the date it was actually purchased (for me the 22nd) so I should just send that in as the receipt.
