Not to thread crap, but if you are looking for TYs make sure they are made in japan and not tiawan or mexico.... when i knew little about cdrs i bought 3 spindles of these. 2 of them had massive flaking issues, and the other one got that crazy fungus that eats the dye out of the cd...

if you didnt already guess they were made in tiawan and mexico. I know that the production has been improved a bit, but I will never go back from my TYs. The mexican made ones were also horrible with minute scratches even

Yes, 80 minute 700mb 16x cdr's.

(the 16x doesn't bother me because my burner burns at the fastest speed the media can actually handle which is usually much higher)

Just picked up 5/100 Packs (Memorex 48x - 700mb/80min) for $50.00+Tax

However, the B&M store I went to did not have or know about the Ad. Luckily, I had printed the Ad using the "Printable List" button at the top right of the webpage.

The Item/Part number in the AD is 3202-4580 with a UPC of 034707045804
The Memorex 48x - 700mb/80min 100pk at the store had a slightly different part number of 3203-4581, however the UPC (what they use to scan) was the same so they gave them to me for the ad price. I also had to point out that the ad did not have a quantity limit.

That's about .10 cents each with no rebates!

scored a set! thanks. I just showed the lady (with supervisor title on her pin) and she couldn't believe it :) After speaking to someone else, I got it with no problems. She did say it was limited to one, but I was only buying one.. lol.

700mb, 48x. nice.

Thanks for the headsup!

Picked up a few packs all made in Taiwan 48x, none made in Japan.
Lucky I had a copy of the web page because it rang up at 39.99 and of course the employee's could not confirm because they had no internet access.

Looks like CMC and Prodisc are the manufacturers.

Black spindle base with a foam washer on top of 100 cello wrapped disks:
ATIP: 97m 32s 19f
Disc Manufacturer: Prodisc Technology Inc.
Assumed Dye type: Phthalocyanine (Type 9)
Media type: CD-Recordable
Recording Speeds: min. unknown - max. unknown
nominal Capacity: 702.83MB (79m 59s 72f / LBA: 359847)

and

dark grey spindle base with a plastic washer on top of 100 cello wrapped disks:
ATIP: 97m 26s 66f
Disc Manufacturer: CMC Magnetics Corp.
Assumed Dye type: Phthalocyanine (Type 6)
Media type: CD-Recordable
Recording Speeds: min. unknown - max. unknown
nominal Capacity: 702.82MB (79m 59s 71f / LBA: 359846)

Don't know which is better but I believe the prodisc are supposedly better.

edit: After some quick testing I think the CMC seems to be better than the Prodisc at 52x. Both are inconsistent.:(

On the Khypermedia's for those who bought em, I would like to advise you to check both the rebates, I got in on the deal a while ago and got screwed as one of the rebates got turned down as they both seemed to require the original upc. Just check to make sure that's not the case.
