The search function will find it.

However, you will be awarded the Senior Member status when you earn it. Not one post earlier.

The elite requirement in the answer above was meant to be a joke. It is given out to members who provide a high levels of input into these forums. They, I would presume, are easiest earnt in the technical forums where one can provide advice and answers to posters asking for help as opposed to the social forums that are more of a place to relax after a day of hard work. Personally, I believe DJFuji should be made an elite member due to his quality of advice in the L&R forums.
 
is it even possible to get Elite status via OT? I would assume instead you would be able to achieve degenerate status quicker.
 
Just hanging around in OT can make it difficult.

CPA obtained it as a result of starting the tax threads 5-6 years ago

Well, I knew the requirement was a joke, but I guess I must be a bit rusty on the rules. I forgot that elite status IS given out occassionally. Hmmm... now I want to try and aim for getting it someday... (dreams on..)
