Mellissa Estridge's Shocker! Are only women are capable of this?

OMG. I just watched Access Hollywood where they interviewed Mellissa Estridge(sp?) and she said that her "wife" told her a "shocker" during one of their marital counseling sessions.

Apparently, Mellissa's "wife" looked her in the eye and said, "I'm not gay."

Are only women capable of living 10 years in a gay relationship with another woman, artificially conceiving 2 children with her and then discover that they are not gay? I can't imagine a man doing something like this.

Julie Cypher WAS married to Lou Diamond Phillips and then took up with Melissa.

Anne Heche dated Steve Martin before the whole Ellen thing and is now engaged to a MAN.

Gays insist that they're born that way and it's not just a lifestyle choice.

Discuss.

At least it was during counseling, and not munching. (Dinner) ;)

I don't know how anyone can be shocked at anything these people say... I mean look at the lifestyle. Why does it shock you?

It's not a disease, and you're not born with it... It's just a way of attracting attention. Ignore them and they'll change.

Now she's dating one of the girls from "Popular" (I got bored at the in-laws and read this months People magazine). ;)

You know, you could interpret Ms. Cypher's comment to mean she's not gay, but bi. I'm sure it still shocked Melissa, since she'd probably assumed being in a monogamous 10-year relationship meant she was gay, but since she'd been with a man for a long time before this relationship, I wouldn't have been too surprised if she'd said she liked men and women.

Shhhhh, we're not supposed to use reasoning here --- remember this is ATOT forums. ;)

But seriously, in the rest of the interview Mellissa Etheridge said that she now knows how to tell when someone is sincere. She will not have a relationship if the girl says that this is her first time doing this because it indicates to her it is probably a phase or experimentation on the part of the girl.

Anyways, I find the whole thing strange as well as Anne Heche's relationship with Ellen Degenerous(sp)...

I dunno, if a guy realizes that he isn't gay after 10 years of taking it up the ***, he better continue pretending.

I bet Steve was feeling pretty bad when Anne dropped him for Ellen...ugh:Q Maybe it wouldn't have been so bad for him if Ellen wasn't so gawd awful hairy butt-crack ugly.

I had a friend do the same thing in college...we were all sitting around drinking and enjoying some other recreational ummm....anyway he suddenly said "You know guys, I'm gay." We laughed thought he was full of shazbot the continued to enjoy ourselves. He then told us again and was very serious about it. He was "gay" for about 2 years then one day decided he liked women again. Now he married to an AMAZING hottie.

edit...just for clarification...the hottie is a female.

What's even more shocking (to me at least) is that any of you actually care...

KevinH, it's not one of the main actresses. I don't watch the show, so I don't know if she's recently cut her hair, but the woman is very blonde with very short spiky hair.

I agree 100%. They whine and cry and even get scientists to drum up ridiculous data to put forth the point they are born that way. Which is a bunch of crap? Its a choice who you sleep with and always will be a choice.
