i've been taking melatonin to help me sleep. it's 3 mg pills. it says not to take more than 1 pill in 24 hours. what happens if I take more than one?

I don't like melatonin, it makes me a raging grump the next day. I don't know what it is, I don't sleep any differently than without melatonin, but I wake up just raging. Not for me.

the 3 mg.dose is way too high. should be .5mg to start. Less is more w/mel.

How much have you researched how it works? Are you attempting to go to sleep within a half hour of taking the supplement? For best results you need to be in bed with no ambient lighting no more than 1/2 hour after taking the pill.

nothing special. a friend of mine was on it and was up to take 2 or 3 a night and still wasnt always sleeping that great.

My body created a tolerance and they quit working.

It may have happened anyway but I probably accelerated it by multi-dosing.

Doesn't knock me out. I take ambien with tons of alcohol.

There's a drug called melanotan that actually darkens the skin.
