maybe in comparison to the first 2, "Thunderdome" was a bit of a let down, but I still thought it was pretty good.

I had a tough time with the cave full of cute blonde children. If they return to the ethic of the first two it could be good.
That and the fact that he didn't seem to recognize the guy in the flying machine. That just made NO sense.

Have you ever thought that the Gyrocopter-guy in Mad Max 2 and the aeroplane-guy in Mad Max 3 were actually two different characters (played by same actor though)? There is no definite answer to that one though, some think that they are the one and a same guy, others think that they are actually two different guys.

Naw. Look at that recent one where he went after the kidnappers that took his son - Ransom. Or Braveheart. Or Patriot. Mel can be a ba-a-a-a-d dude.

Yes, the characters played by Bruce Spence (I believe is the name of the actor) have this thing in common - they're flyboys. But they are two different people:

In Mad Max 2, the character is referred to in the credits and by the narrator as "the Gyro captain"... and he leaves with the oil people in the end.

In Mad Max 3, the airplane pilot is named Jedediah.

It may be that he's a friend of director George Miller... and that's why he plays in both films... and probably he's also a real pilot, which definitely helped him get the role... by the way, he's also in The Lord of the Rings - The Two Towers...

On second thoughts I'm so stoked you can watch me burn! I see no problem with this at ALL. They could even have it like 10 years in the future. That would allow max to have an updated car (I'm thinking 80's muscle car), and also account for him being older. As lordevermore hopes I hope also it's not stupidized by hollywood. I PRAY that it's in the same vein as road warrior and not thunderdome. Road warrior was such an awesome movie. Just a raw, excellent movie.

"That FAT tank of gas!"

Maybe he'll be the outlaw this time under the shadow of centralized civilization quickly reforming.
