I give up I guess it was not as ironic/funny/weird as I thought. 🙁 I guess I thought it was ironic because I did it at that exact same moment, I wasn't expecting him to offer me the raise (everyone got a raise here, he was just giving me the documentation for it and I already knew it)

*sigh*

...*backs out of own thread*

I thought it kinda of wierd that your boss talked to you about a raise knowing you were quitting.

Wow, you're a passive aggressive douchebag if you can't even tell your boss face-to-face you're leaving or hand-deliver the letter to him and tell him then. What is wrong with people these days?

That was absolutely my first thought.

my last conversion with my former boss before I left proves to be greatly beneficial, YMMV I guess.

So did I....but it was a drunk night in college, and the balls didnt touch, so it wasnt gay. Right? RIGHT? 🙁

The best way to quit a job is go in at 3:00am get all your personal stuff, clean the desk/cubicle, reimage your pc to company standard image ready to deploy just for hell of it, and drop off the letter on your way out. 😀

Actually if I was to quit my current job I don't have any bad issues with my boss or the people I work with so I'd probably give my 2 weeks but offer to stay until they can hire someone else (depending on how badly I wanted to quit). I'd do it face to face so I can fully express myself and why I'm leaving. I'd want to make sure it's a good impression on the way out so it does not look bad on me for whatever other job I have lined up.
